What do you do for a living?
Work as a builder?
Work a 9-5 office job?
Work on your own business?
There’s unlimited things we “do for a living.”
Usually our answer is completely false to what we actually want to do.
For example…
Last time someone asked you “what do you do for a living” did you reply with…
“I run my successful 6-fig/year agency from my laptop whilst travelling the world and experiencing life.”
I bet that’s not what you replied with.
Because you’re not at that level…yet.
There comes a certain level where you’re making way more than any 9-5 worker out there.
RIght now you're probably only kicking things off with your agency.
I’d say you’re struggling to sign your first client.
This is the exact reason why you don’t tell people you run an agency.
Because it’s almost embarrassing when they ask you “how much do you make from that?”
And you reply with “emmm…we’re just in the works of signing a new client.”
You’ve basically just said “my agency doesn’t make any money, you make more than me, I don’t really know what I’m doing but let me make it seem like I’m in the works of something big.”
I mean technically you’re not wrong about building something big.
But the rest is spot on.
You’re a “failing beginner agency owner.”
But that’s okay.
Really it is.
All beginners fail.
All you have to do is transition from a beginner to a professional.
See a professional’s response would be something like “yeah we’re scaling right now but last month the agency took home just over $12,427 profit .”
See how much different that is?
I bet you want to be able to say that.
